Tony R. Pierce

I'm from the small Texas town of Stamford, which today includes a population of around 3,000 people.   Stamford is (or once was) famous for its annual Texas Cowboy Reunion, a multi-day event that includes a parade, nightly amateur rodeos, country-western dances, and much else.

I'm a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.   Since my graduation, I've lived mostly in the Dallas area of Texas, but have worked many places in the United States and in Europe.

I'm a software consultant working on a contract basis for corporations and government agencies.   This work has provided me the opportunity of seeing and experiencing many places.   It's also allowed me the luxury of taking time off from work and seeking adventures -- mainly hiking and mountain climbing.
